Governor Tim Walz and his wife, Gwen Walz, attended Laborfest in downtown Milwaukee today. They discussed the Biden-Harris administration’s support for the working class and outlined the goals of the Harris-Walz ticket. Governor Walz highlighted the contrasts between their platform and the Project 2025 agenda proposed by some far right republicans, which he argues would weaken unions and raise taxes on families by nearly $4,000 a year. During the drive to the event, a couple press vehicles in Walz’s motorcade were involved in an accident. While there were no major injuries, the event was delayed briefly as President Biden, and Vice President Harris both called Walz to check on him. During the event, a handful of pro Gaza protesters were removed after holding pro-Gaza signage.

The Democratic Presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor of Minnesota and VP candidate Tim Walz visited Milwaukee yesterday to speak to a crowd of over 18,000 at Fiserv Forum where the Republican National Convention was held last month. One Gaza protester was removed during her remarks for holding up a “genocide” sign, as well as one medical emergency where Harris, at one point, stopped her remarks to get the attention of medical personnel.
